Angels, often depicted as celestial beings with wings and halos, hold a special place in various religious and mythological traditions. They are believed to be messengers of God, tasked with protecting and guiding humans. In popular culture, angels are often portrayed as guardians or helpers in times of need. But have you ever wondered how angels are organized or seated in the heavenly realm?
According to some beliefs, angels are arranged in a specific hierarchy or order, each having a distinct role and level of authority. This hierarchy, known as the angelic hierarchy, is said to be divided into different “choirs” or “orders” of angels, with each choir having its own unique function and purpose.

At the top of the angelic hierarchy are the Seraphim, the highest order of angels who are closest to God and are believed to radiate divine light and love. They are often depicted as having six wings and are known for their fiery passion and devotion to God.
Below the Seraphim are the Cherubim, who are known for their wisdom and knowledge. They are often depicted as having four faces and four wings, and are believed to guard the throne of God and the gates of Paradise.
Next in the hierarchy are the Thrones, who are said to be the spirits of justice and authority. They are often depicted as wheels within wheels, symbolizing their role as divine chariots or carriers of God’s justice.
Following the Thrones are the Dominions, who are believed to regulate the duties of lower angels and oversee the functioning of the universe. They are often depicted as holding scepters or orbs, symbolizing their authority and power.
Lastly, there are the Angels and Archangels, who are the lowest orders of angels but are still revered for their roles as messengers and protectors of humans. They are often depicted as winged beings with swords or trumpets, symbolizing their duties as heralds of God’s will.
In conclusion, the angelic hierarchy and seating arrangement provide a fascinating glimpse into the intricate organization of the heavenly realm.
